Tagging, Folksonomies & Technorati

I have watched the 12 minute podcast describing delicious and I wished the visual was larger. The information was informative and the music at the end was a nice touch. Creating booklists and syllabus.
conducting research and connecting with others. Hmmmm. I am not very excited yet, but will continue to keep an open mind. How would I use this resource? I will proceed with my discovery.

Ok I followed the steps using the A beginner's guide to The Next Big Thing resource and they lied to me. the site said that sign up was simple and that there you didn't need to enter an e-mail address and guess what? you do. I opened an account and fooled around a bit. It's growing on me. I like being able to see what other names and subjects people use to tag various sites.

Interesting, I created another account (I hope that I remember all of these passwords and usernames). The name of my search roll is CharTechRemedys
This is a great improvement from my very long lists of bookmarks and I like the fact that you can search all of your usual sites at one time. This is definitely a time saver.

I also created a del.icio.us account and I love it. All of my favorite sites on on page.

Merlin, Newsfeeds,Etc.

Merlin is a site funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. This site has learning links, training calendars and virtual meeting set-ups. A sandbox is available to test and experiment with new technologies and of course there are on-line tutorials.
I have subscribed to Merlin and have explored some helpful newfeed search sites. I think that I prefer Topix.net so far. I like the fact that the town of Bel Air automatically was in place and the site automatically showed articles pertaining to the area.

I am in love with the Library Thing!! What a great idea. I am an avid book lover and collector, really most of my family are constantly supplying the home with books. This is a wonderul and easy way to organized them.

Playing with Generators

This was fun!! I have just begun. FD toys was my favorite. It was simple to use and there is no need to enter e-mails and identity. That becomes annoying for me after a while. Anyhow, enjoy the photo of my handsome husband. He is very colorful.

A little Frustrated-RSS & Newsreaders

I am attempting to set up my own bloglines newsreader account. I have followed the procedure but an alert sign continues to display that I need to verify my account by responding to my e-mail. I have checked my e-mail and there is nothing to reply to. If at first you know succeed......Stay tuned
Well...15 minutes later, I have solved the problem and have entered my e-mail address at work since this is the address that was used for my initial registration. I am now loaded with 34 newsfeeds and counting!

My Technology interest for the week is Photo sharing. I understand the advantages of having a library available online, but I am apprehensive to have my photos floating around in the abyss of digital eternity.
